Israeli delegation visits city

Chandigarh, March 9

A delegation of students from Israel arrived in Chandigarh today and had an interactive programme with the city unit of the BJP and the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).

The BJYM said the delegation came to India on the initiative of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Later, the delegation of teachers and students of architecture from Israel explored the city. They were taken to the Haryana Assembly and the Punjab Assembly.

Cabinet Minister of Haryana Ram Bilas Sharma welcomed the delegation at the Haryana Assembly. Agriculture Minister of Haryana Om Prakash Dhankar and Health Minister Anil Vij were also present. The delegation was also taken to the library where BJP city president Sanjay tendon explained about how Chandigarh came into existence. Besides, they were apprised about the Constitution of India.
