Man’s body found in Bhakra canal

Patiala, November 21

Body of  Sandeep Kumar (22) of Bahadurgarh, who  worked as a sweeper at the Tripuri police station was found from the Bhakra canal, near Passiana, today. Officials said it was not clear how he died.

The SHO, Tripuri, Balbir Singh Kaler, said the dead body was found in the evening hours today. The body had been kept at the mortuary of the Government Rajindra Hospital here, he added. The post-mortem would be conducted tomorrow, he said. Another police official said the deceased had called the office stating he was feeling unwell today. The police were informed about the body when divers noticed it floating in the canal, the SHO added. — TNS
