Manav Rachna, Mohali

A summer camp was held at Manav Rachna International School (MRIS). On the concluding day, parents of kids participated in all activities that were taken up by children during the camp. Children flaunted their takeaways from the camp and made their parents proud with their achievements. They were awarded with certificates of participation. Sunny Bansal, Executive Director, MRIS, and his wife Aarti Bansal released a book titled ‘Ink on Wings’, a compilation of stories written by children under the ‘Young Authors’ programme by the school. They appreciated and commended the efforts, dedication and hard work of the mentors and congratulated the children on the success of the camp. Principal stated: “The summer camp at MRIS is like a concoction of learning and fun, a time to break away from the usual classroom routine, a place rich enough for a fun-filled learning environment, which allows children to be at their best.”

Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh

Gurukul Global School, Chandigarh, organised a 10-day  summer camp. Around 70 children — three to 13 years of age — participated in the camp. Various art and craft activities such as best-out-of-waste, T-shirt painting and pot making, yoga sessions, personality development and communication skill classes, martial arts, calligraphy, theater and storytelling were conducted during the camp. Children enjoyed learning zumba and hip-hop.  During the camp, students were taken to Chhatbir Zoo to celebrate World Environment Day.  A movie show was also organised for the students and parents. On the concluding day, an eventful and lively cultural programme was presented by all participants. 

DC Montessori, Mani Majra

DC Montessori Senior Secondary School organised an adventurous summer camp. Students participated in various activities such as dance, art and craft, yoga, English speaking, storytelling, best-out-of-waste, under the guidance of experienced mentors who helped in nurturing their creativity and polishing their skills. Special classes in personality development and various activities gave the youth an opportunity to unplug from technology, to explore the outdoors, meet new friends, discover new interests and create memories that last a lifetime. The camp came to frolicking end at the auditorium of DC Model School, Sector 7, wherein students mesmerised the audience. tns
