Moti Ram Arya-27, Chandigarh

Investiture ceremony was held at Moti Ram Arya Senior Secondary Model School, Sector 27-A, Chandigarh. The event started with a Gyatri mantra. The students took an oath to adhere to the rules and regulations of the school. The ceremony ended with the national anthem.

The National Deworming Day was celebrated at Sri Guru Gobind Singh Collegiate Public School. Dr Sonia, medical officer, Police Hospital, abd her team gave tablets to the students. Children aged from one year to 19 years were given medicine in the presence of their parents. A speech contest was also held.

A heartfelt homage was paid to founder chairman late TR Sethi. Students and teachers began the assembly with a prayer and school song. They pledged to imbibe the chairman’s spirit of hard work and honesty.

AKSIPS 45 Smart School, Chandigarh

Teej was celebrated with full fervour at AKSIPS 45 Smart School. Students of pre primary and teachers came in traditional attires. Tiny tots enjoyed swings and relished ghevar and kheer pura. The teachers applied mehndi on the hands of the students. 

Guru Nanak Public-36, Chandigarh 

A capacity building programme on value education was conducted at Guru Nanak Public School, Sector 36-D, Chandigarh. The CBSE resource person Ml Sawhney motivated around 60 delegates from various schools.  Inspirational words reverberated and enlightened the audience on insistent need to nurture values and ethics among the students. Principal Gurnam Kaur Grewal thanked Sawhney and reiterated the fact that morals and principles were more important in today’s world, especially in view of the changing face of the society. 

Sri Guru Harkrishan, Chandigarh                

Sri Guru Harkrishan Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, organised its investiture ceremony. Rotarian Surinder Paul Kaur, president, Rotary Club of Chandigarh, was the guest of honour.   Raghav Madan and Nancy were appointed Head Boy and Head Girl. New president Guneet Kaur of Class X introduced her team and promised to work dedicatedly. 

 Manav Mangal, Zirakpur

Manav Mangal Smart World, Zirakpur, organised a science mela on Saturday. Around 26 working models along with various other scientific presentations were presented to the visitors. The exhibition gave an opportunity to the students to explore their creative and scientific minds. — TNS
