Punjab and Haryana boxers dominated the quarterfinal bouts of the second Junior National Boxing Championship at Chandigarh University, Gharuan, here today. In the 46 kg weight category, Vikas Thakur (Punjab) beat Divyanshu Gautam (HP) 5-0 to enter the semifinals. Punjab boxer Ekta Saroj also notched up a 5-0 win against Tingmila Doungil (Manipur) in the 48kg weight division, while Jaishree (Haryana) knocked out Malsavamdongjelly (Mizoram) in the same category.

Results: Women 

46kg: Yogita Pardesi (Maharashtra) beat Ragini (UP) 3-2, Priyanka Borah (Assam) beat Lulrinchani Pauto (Mizoram) 5-0, Rajni (Haryana) beat Anjali (Rajasthan) 5-0

48kg: Ekta Saroj (Punjab) beat Tingmila Doungil (Manipur) 5-0, Jaishree (Haryana) beat Malsavamdongjelly (Mizoram) 5-0, Aayushi (MP) beat Bipasha( Delhi) 5-0, Aanchal Singh (UP) beat Lakshmi Patil (Mah) 3-2

50 Kg: Komal (Punjab) beat Suman Yadav (Goa) 4-1, Devika D (KER) beat Isha (HP) Score 3-2

52 kg: Sandeep Kaur (Punjab) beat Lalthulungidki (Mizoram) 5-0, Tanu (Haryana) beat Aarya Kulkarni (Mah) 4-1

Men: 46 kg: Vikas Thakur (Punjab) beat Divyanshu Gautam (HP) 5-0, Sanjeet (SSCB) beat Manish Rathod (UP) 3-2, Sachin (Har) beat Jouramauna (Mizoram) 4-1, Biswamitra (SSCB) beat Abhishek Singh (Punjab) 4-1

48 kg: Abhinav Katoch (HP) beat Jubin Kotla (Assam) 4-1

50 kg: Kuldeep Singh (Punjab) beat Virender Singh (HP) 5-0, S Victor Singh (SSCB) beat Vikas (Haryana) Score 3-2

52 kg: Kuljeet (Punjab) beat Siddharth (Uttrakhand) 4-1, Nauba Singh (SSCB) beat Aakash Pundhir (UP) 5-0
