Top seed Rishi Dahiya defeated Jaskaran Singh 6-1 to book his berth in the final of the combined U-14 category in the ongoing Open Roots Tennis Championship at Roots Tennis Academy, Zirakpur.
He will face Kanwarpreet Singh, who defeated Abhay Kaushik 6-3, in the final.
In the semifinals of the combined U-16 category, top seed Dhairya Chadha defeated Gurasis 6-1, while second seed Chaitanya Dua overpowered Arsh Nagra 6-0.
In the boys’ U-10 category, Rushil Bakshi overpowered Nisyam 6-1, and Sachit defeated Kirtarth 6-4. Umang Singh reached the final of the boys’ U-12 category by defeating Samrvir 6-1. In another semifinal, Divyam overpowered Jaisheel 6-1. The final matches will be played on Monday.
