In a bureaucratic reshuffle, 1985-batch IAS officer Satish Chandra has been posted as Additional Chief Secretary (Home), in addition to holding the charge of ACS (Health and Family Welfare).
The post of ACS (Home) had fallen vacant following the retirement of NS Kalsi.
In the reshuffle, the Congress government has rehabilitated 1984 batch IAS officer KBS Sidhu, Special Chief Secretary-cum-Director, Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration. Sidhu has been given the charge of FCR, Revenue and Rehabilitation, in place of Kalpana Mittal Baruah.
Baruah has been given the charge of ACS, Technical Education and Industrial Training, replacing DK Tewari, who has been given the charge of Principal Secretary, Medical Education and Research.
