The Haryana Police have made elaborate security arrangements in view of the July 15 visit of President Ram Nath Kovind to Fatehabad.
DGP BS Sandhu, along with Additional Chief Secretary, Home, SS Prasad, visited Fatehabad on Wednesday to review law and order and security arrangements in view of the upcoming visit of the President. He said that tight security arrangements had been made for the visit.
The DGP said that five IPS officers would be deputed on security duty. Besides the local police, senior police officers from Haryana and the Centre would be on duty.
Sandhu and Prasad also visited the helipad set up at the sports stadium at Bhodia Khera and the new grain market in the town.
They convened a meeting of civil and police administration officers and gave necessary directions.
Kovind will be the chief guest of the 620th Prakas Utsav of Sant Kabir being organised at the new grain market in Fatehabad on July 15.
