A blood donation camp was organised by a city resident here today. The initiative was taken by advocate Ravinder Krishan to mark his 74th birthday.
The camp was organised in association with the team from the Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGI, GMCH, Sector 32, and GMSH, Sector 16, at Krishan’s residence in Sector 9 here. As many as 605 volunteers donated blood.
Income tax law expert Ravinder Krishan said he had been organising such camps on his birthday for the last eight years.
PGI director Dr YK Chawla, former Union Minister and senior BJP leader Harmohan Dhawan, MC’s city beautification committee chairman Mukesh Bassi and other prominent people of the city also attended the blood donation camp.
