Several biopics are currently in production and Richa Chadha is one such actor who has joined this league. The actress was in news recently when she bagged the role of Shakeela in the biopic of the south Cinema’s legendary name.
Best known for her adult films, Shakeela became a rage overnight after her first mainstream film Playgirls in which she acted alongside Silk Smitha.
Before starting the shoot, Richa met Shakeela in Bengaluru for the first time. Both the real and reel Shakeela had a great time bonding understanding each other. Shakeela shared anecdotes from her early days and her long career, giving the Fukrey actress all the details she would need to play the part to perfection. The film is being currently shot in Thirthahalli, a small village in Karnataka. Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, it is slated for release in 2019.
