City-based firm opens well on BSE SME
Ludhiana, February 15
City-based firm Superfine Knitters Limited, engaged in the manufacturing of knitted fabrics and garments for domestic and export markets, got an overwhelming response while being listed on the BSE. Its public issue of Rs4.08 crore on the BSE SME platform was opened on January 18 and closed on January 24. It got subscribed more than 24 times, which according to firm owner, is a record among the 196 SME companies listed so far since March 2012. The issue was managed by Guiness Corporate Advisory, lead manager to the issue, they said. Ajit Lakra, MD, Superfine Knitters Limited, said many more SMEs should come forward for SME listing so that they can unlock the value and raise equity funds for further expansions and modernisation of the industry to create value for their companies and create more employment and productivity.

Meanwhile, an interactive session on benefits of listing on the BSE SME platform was organised by FICO.
Sarvesh Thakur, Assistant Manager, BSE SME, interacted with members regarding equity-financing opportunity to grow the business.
Manish Bansal, Director, Investment Banking, elaborated on enhancing a company’s visibility and incentive for big venture-capital participation and greater incentives for employees.
FICO President Gurmeet Singh Kular said capital marketing would help in distributing risk more efficiently by transferring the risk to those who are best able to bear it.—TNS
