Three books in Hindi on revenue law and procedure titled ‘HP Revenue Manual (Vol- I, II and III)’, authored by retired IAS IS Chandel, was released by Revenue Minister Kaul Singh Thakur here today.
Congratulating Chandel for this endeavour, Thakur expressed hope that these volumes on revenue law and procedure would prove very handy to the revenue functionaries like Patwaris, Kanungos and Revenue Officers.
Chandel had served the state government under various capacities and has a vast experience on revenue law and procedure. He served the Revenue Department for about 34 years and compiled two government publications — ‘HP Land Code’ and ‘HP Land Records Manual’ — which proved instrumental in introducing new concepts like computerisation of land records and Theodolite Survey and also increased efficiency among revenue functionaries of the state.
He has also authored many books on revenue matters.
