Dehradun: PhD degree holders of 2009 and before have decided to surrender their PhDs to Governor KK Paul if the state government decided to continue with its decision to follow the UGC regulation-2009 guidelines in totality, which render their degrees useless. Dr Devendra Rawat, Garhwal president of PhD Degree Holders Association, said there was no option left with them but to submit their PhD degrees to the Governor. —TNS
BJP spokesman meets Union minister
State BJP spokesman Suresh Joshi met Union Petroleum Minister Dharmendra Pradhan in Delhi on Tuesday and apprised him of the concerns of the state. Joshi told Pradhan about the shortage of kerosene oil in the hills. The Union minister assured action in the matter.— TNS
