A rangoli competition was organised by students of the Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology (YCET) on the college premises here.
The aim of the event was to create awareness among budding engineers towards judicious use of water and its management in order to save mother nature from imminent disaster. The theme also depicted promotion of latest technologies and innovations for water conservation and its management. Faculty members, staff and all students of the YCET participated in the event.
The event, organised by the STEEL Club, Department of Civil Engineering, witnessed budding engineers showing great enthusiasm. The event also provided useful insights into global water crisis and contemporary issues confronting the world.
Later, prizes were given away to the winners by jury members — Vidhi S Singh, Chairman, Jamwal Group of Educational Institutions (JGEI), Renu Bangroo, Managing Director, and Dr Seema Narain, Director, YCET.
The first prize was bagged by the SWAT Club, comprising Monu, Sheetal, Anamika, Urvi and Akshita. The SWAT Club (IT) secured second position. The team comprised Palak, Falak, Preksha, Roshika and Rishab. Vikhyat, Abhishek, Sushant, Hitesh and Devinder of the STEEL Club (civil engineering) finished third in the competition.
Bodh Raj Verma, Dean, Academics, AK Kaul, and senior faculty members were present on the occasion.
