‘Shiv Barat’ to be taken out from Ranbireshwar Mandir on Feb 16

The Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee will take out “Shiv Barat” on February 16 on the occasion of Maha Shivratri.

Giving details of the programmes about Maha Shivratri Mahotsav – 2015, spokesperson and legal adviser of the committee Jyoti Sarup Mishra said for the first time such celebrations are being organised by the Shri Ranbireshwar Mandir Welfare Committee and Jammu and Kashmir Dharamarth Trust.

He said the programmes would commence on February 16. On February 16 a “shobha yatra” of Lord Shiva (Shiv Barat) will be organised. A chariot of Lord Shiva would be the main attraction of the “shobha yatra”. Pandits of the Jammu and Kashmir Dharamath Trust would push the chariot and the “shobha yatra” would start from Ranbireshwar Temple at 4 pm.
