Srinagar, November 24
Sharpening its attack on the BJP, the Congress today challenged it to abrogate the Article 370 that grants special status to the Jammu and Kashmir.
“Article 370 is a bridge between J&K and the rest of the country and the Congress is committed to protect it,” Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee chief Saifuddin Soz told reporters here.
Soz said Prime Minister Narendra Modi “directly represented the RSS” and alleged that the saffron party was “ill intentioned”.
He also said the BJP would never be able to fulfill its promise of building a Ram temple at Ayodhya and implementation of the uniform civil code.
