The cross-LoC bus service ‘Karvan-e-Aman’ between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad has been suspended for Monday.
A senior police official in Baramulla said the bus service between the two capital cities of the divided Kashmir across the LoC in Uri has been postponed for a day.
“As a precautionary measure, it has been postponed for today”, he said without further elaborating.
Tensions between India and Pakistan have heightened over the past few days following the killing of 40 CRPF personnel in a suicide car bombing attack in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Thursday.
On Sunday, the J&K government withdrew the security cover of four separatists, including Hurriyat Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq.
