Man, father held in connection with rape-cum-murder of minor
New Delhi, February 11
A man allegedly raped a seven-year-old girl and then killed her with the help of his father in Nihal Vihar following which the accused duo were arrested today, a police official said.
The accused, identified as Rajender (21) and his father Ram Saran (51), are residents of the same locality as the minor, he said.
The body of the girl, reported missing on February 9 from Nihal Vihar, was found dumped near a park with her limbs tied with a rope on Sunday.
A case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The accused, Rajender, had lured the child to his home by offering chips and then sexually assaulted her, Seju Kuruvilla, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Outer) said.
Later, she was killed and her body dumped near a park in the locality, he said. — PTI
