Jet crash spot examined

NURPUR, JULY 20

An IAF team, led by Air Commander Anurag Joshi, on Friday examined the site where MiG-21 fighter jet had crashed on Wednesday. Air Force Pilot Squadron Leader Meet Kumar (35) had lost his life in the crash.

The team examined and tried to identify parts of the crashed jet. It also met the local eyewitnesses who had first noticed the fighter catching fire mid air. Their statements of the locals were recorded by the team.

The team also collected damaged parts of the crashed fighter jet and prepared a map. Sources revealed that the team had also found Flight Data Recorder (FDR) of the ill-fated jet.
