DAV Public School, Sarabha Nagar, extended a warm welcome to students of Pre KG and LKG. The kindergarten wing was gleaming with fresh buds that came to start their new life. The teachers also welcomed them with open arms. They were given welcome badges of their favourite cartoon character Doreamon. The teachers did everything to make them comfortable and feel at home. Their beginning was celebrated as a festival. A special puppet show was organised on the campus to add extra charm. The tender hearts were overjoyed to see the puppets dancing on the tunes of the latest songs. The kids thoroughly enjoyed themselves by tapping their feet on the music. Principal Satwant Kaur Bhullar greeted the students and showered her blessings for their bright future.
INAUGURATION CEREMONY
New nursery wing of Sacred Heart Convent School, Bhattian, was inaugurated by Dr Franco Mulakkal, Bishop of Jalandhar Diocese, and patron of the school. Rev Fr Daniel Gill, Rev Fr Mathew Kokkandam, Rev Fr Jose Edakkunnath, Rev Sr Regina MJ, Manager of the school, Principal Rev Sr Elseena MJ, Rev Sr Rosily MJ, in-charge, Nursery Wing, and many other priests and religious along with all the staff and newcomers along with their parents were present on the blessing and inauguration ceremony.
BVM WELCOMES NAV SAMVAT
BVM School, Chandigarh Road, extended a warm welcome to the Hindu New Year Nav Samvat with great glory and grandeur. To show the importance of Nav Samvat in the Indian culture, students were taken out for religious procession. The motive of this celebration was to inspire the people to celebrate Hindu festivals with great vigour. Principal Rajni Arora congratulated everyone for the new beginning.
WORLD HEALTH DAY
Ryan International School, Jamalpur, Ludhiana, celebrated World Health Day. The day provided an opportunity to students to involve in various activities for better health. Different activities were conducted at different levels. Students also shared their views on healthy food. Students enthusiastically participated in various activities. Principal Gurpal Kaur Anand appreciated the efforts by the students and motivated them. She also advised the students to eat healthy and live healthy.
POETRY RECITATION
A poetry recitation competition was conducted at Ram Lal Bhasin Public School, Dugri. Students of Classes from Nursery to Mont II took part in the competition. The kids entertained the viewers with their loving actions and sweet voices. The objective of the competition was just to have a fair check on their active-participation and to make them comfortable with the stage and audience. Principal Raman Oberoi pampered the winners and added that these activities are the stepping stones to the bright future of these toddlers.
ORIENTATION PROGRAMME
Kundan Vidya Mandir, Civil Lines, today organised an orientation program for the parents of students of Class VI. The programme ‘Connect to grow together’ was an interacting session hold to essay the fear and apprehensions of parents and provide a platform for the smooth transition to the middle section. More than 400 parents attended the programme and actively participated in the discussion. Principal Navita Puri appreciated the efforts of the parents, thanked them for the time they took out from their busy schedules to attend the orientation program. The session concluded on a positive note and the parents landed the efforts of the school authorities and appreciated their involvement in the growth of their children. —TNS
