Chandigarh: As many as 365 units of blood were collected during three camps conducted by the Department of Transfusion Medicine, PGIMER, Chandigarh, at the Bridge Market in Sector 17 here on Thursday. The camps were organised by Shree Shiv Kawar Mahasangh Charitable Foundation, Panchkula, Tech Mahindra, IT Park, Mani Majra and the Blood Donation Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh, wherein 265 units, 55 and 45 units, respectively, were collected.
UT Adviser Vijay Kumar Dev inaugurated an Alternative Medical Unit (AMU) at Mauli Jagran village here on Thursday. The AMU will help ease problems in the village and the surrounding areas.
