India’s largest mobile payment and commerce platform, Paytm, has taken its cashless solution to academic campuses with a strategic partnership with Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar. LPU is the largest single campus university in India, with more than 25,000 students, 3500 faculty and staff, offering over 200 programmes.
As per the statistics, over 60% of the students in the campus are already active users of the Paytm app.The users can now pay university fees and dues, hostel fees, cafeteria bills as well as buy books and merchandise through the Paytm Wallet. By minimising cash, the initiative shall be highly beneficial for the students, teachers, the institution and parents alike.
A cashless system of payments makes transactions convenient for students and the shopkeepers too get their dues on time. The initiative has been appreciated by the management as a win-win situation for both, their students and vendors.
OP Jindal Global University gets 'A' grade NAAC rating
OP Jindal Global University (JGU) has been awarded the highest rating accreditation rating of "A Grade" by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), becoming the first state private university in the state to achieve this milestone.
NAAC is an autonomous body established by the UGC to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country and assesses universities on a comprehensive 7-point criteria covering key factors such as infrastructure, emphasis on research and innovation, curriculum and faculty. The A Grade rating is the highest accreditation rating granted by NAAC, signaling the best assessment results.
IMI Delhi ties up with Groupe Kedge Business School
International Management Institute (IMI) Delhi, recently signed an agreement with Groupe Kedge Business School (KEDGE), France (Bordeaux and Marseille) to formulate a reciprocal educational exchange programme for management students.
The student exchange programme is aimed to facilitate all the three of its courses, including PGDM, PGDM(HRM) and PGDM(B&FS). The association aims at an equal exchange of students (upto six students per semester), faculty exchange programme and joint research programme.
