APSF president Sheik Allau’ddin bin Yacoob Marican said silat was practiced in 80 countries. He said with the ongoing seminar, silat would now get promoted in J&K and across India.

Marican said he was hopeful that silat would get endorsed by the Indian Olympic Association, paving the way for Indian team’s participation in the international silat events. — TNS
