Kullu, May 5
The landslide at Bhalyani village in Lug Valley region of Kullu district has damaged cultivated land of about 500 square metres in the village.
Kullu SDM Rohit Rathore said a team headed by the tehsildar visited the spot today.
Tehsildar Raghubir Shashni said around 50 bighas of land had developed cracks.
He added that the cause of the landslide couldnot be ascertained.
The villagers said their cultivated crops were washed away in the landslide.
Chander Thakur, former president of the village panchayat, said the government should compensate the losses to the farmers and send a team of geologists to analyse the situation to protect the village.
