Man’s body found in Kullu

Kullu, August 1

The body of an old man was found in a ditch near Bandrol Marketing Yard, 11 km from here, today.

The police said he might have fallen off from the side of the road into the ditch.

As the body was stinking, it appeared that it had been lying there for the past couple of days. It was partly decomposed and could not be identified.

The police further said the body had been sent for a postmortem to the Kullu hospital and kin of missing persons of the area would be informed to identify the body. The body would be kept at the mortuary for the next three days after which it would be cremated. — OC
