President to adopt 50 villages: CM

CHANDIGARH: President Pranab Mukherjee has expressed a desire to adopt 50 villages in Haryana and develop these as smart villages, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar informed the House today.

President Pranab Mukherjee has expressed a desire to adopt 50 villages in Haryana and develop these as smart villages, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar informed the House today.

Khattar said the President had in July, 2016, adopted five villages — Alipur, Daula, Harchandpur and Tajnagar in Gurugram district and Rozkameo in Mewat district — to develop as smart villages.

The 50 new villages to be adopted were located within a 5-km radius of the ones adopted earlier, the Chief Minister said. These villages were Ghamdoz, Raiseena, Dhunaila, Hariyaheda, Garhi Bazidpur, Mohammadpur Gujjar, Mahendwada, Sanpki Nagli, Sohna rural located within a 5-km radius of Alipur village.

Raiseeka, Barota, Rampur, Khanpur, Kanwarseenka, Maraula, Khod, Raipur, Aata, Dheerduka and Raivasan located within a 5-km radius of Rajkameo village.

Other adopted villages were Chuhadur, Nimoth, Isaka, Bilhaka, Satlaka, Rahaka, Mandawar, Johlaka located within a 5-km radius of Harchandpur village.

Sirsaka, Khaika, Abhaypur, Kharoda, Baluda, Lohatki, Nunaira, Damdama and Nai Nangla were other villages located within a 5-km radius of Daula while Baslambi, Jamalpur, Khewaspur, Babada Bakipur, Judaula, Joniawas, Fazilpur Badli, Sanpka and Jauri were located within a 5-km radius of Tajnagar village. — TNS
