City no longer has disturbed area tag

City residents question the traffic restriction since the Chandigarh Disturbed Areas Act, 1983, and the Armed Forces (Punjab and Chandigarh) Special Powers Act were no more in existence. The Punjab Governor also holds the charge of the UT Administrator due to the disturbed area tag. But since the tag is no more, there is no need for the security cover they still enjoy.
