NABARD gets new Chief General Manager

Vijay Kumar has assumed the charge of Chief General Manager at J&K regional office of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), after the transfer of Shankar A Pande to Mumbai. Vijay Kumar was earlier serving as the Chief General Manager at the bank’s Gujarat regional office at Ahmedabad.

He joined NABARD as a direct Grade ‘A’ officer in 1985, and had done his B.Sc in Agriculture from Acharya NG Ranga Agricultural University, Hyderabad. He has a rich experience in agriculture and rural banking, credit planning, micro-finance strategy development, liaison with state government for infrastructure development and similar sectors. He has worked in various capacities in the bank at different regional offices. — TNS
