Uttarakhand Power Corporation Limited (UPCL) has decided to hold 12 revenue collection camps in the rural parts of Dehradun district. The camps will be held in small hamlets of the district.
The revenue collection camps would be held at Shemshergarh/ Gujraonwali, Kuanwala, Miyanwala, Harrawala, Tunwala, Nawada, Nakraudna, and Balawala, under the Araghar rural subdivision, on October 16,17,19, 20, 21, 23, 26 and 27, respectively, while camps would be held at Ganeshpur, Mehunwala and Sherpur under the Mohanpur sub-station on October 23, 26 and 28, respectively.
Residents of Bhagwanpur, Selaqui, and Bhauwala, under Selaqui, could utilise the services of the camp on October 26, 23 and 26, respectively, while camps would be held at Suakholi, Eishwar Vihar, and Kidduwala/ Raipur under IT Park sub-station on October 16, 20 and 29. The camps will also prove beneficial for UPCL to increase its revenue by reducing its outstanding electricity bills.
Madhusudan, official spokesperson for UPCL, said revenue collection camps would prove extremely beneficial for residents who of the fringe parts of the district as they could pay their bills at the camps. The customers could also rectify the errors in their electricity bills at the camps.
