Digest this! Healthy is appetising. For, a new food joint in Zirakpur has added health benefits to its menu of delicacies.

The Postik Restaurant, situated bang on the Zirakpur-Shimla highway, claims its food blends good health with taste. Artificial colours and preservatives have no place in its menu as it offers a perfect recipe for wonderful lunch and dinner.

“Childhood and health food, does not get along very well, we know,” says Sandeep Sharma, a chef at the restaurant.

“That is why we make health food delicious with different way for Children to eat thinks they would not want to see on their platter,” he adds. “We are not using artificial flavours or unhealthy ingredients like maida or synthetic sweeteners. We are using only Patanjali products".

Postik offers an extensive menu complete with healthy dishes, Patanjali drinks and desserts.

You can order from an exclusive range of starters like Tandoori Karela (bitter), Lauki ke Kabab (bottle gourd), Tandoori Soya and chef special Postik Assort Tandoori platter, which contains combination of Postik kababs. With starters you can take Patanjali drinks like Gulab ki Lassi, Khas ki Lassi and Mango lassi which are good to beat heat. Patanjali Litchi paradise and Kachhe Aam Ka Panna will give a taste of your childhood.

For main course you can get such dishes which are avoided by kids and youngsters mostly in daily routine. Zimikand (yam) choleya, Zimikand palak, Papya Potato sabji , Bhindi Do Piazza, Adraki Aloo Gobhi and Soya Mattar are main dishes with breads including multi-grain roti. For tiny tots, there is a postik veg noodles (patanjali atta noodles cooked with vegetables).

‘Ghar ka khana’ thalis are also on the menu. The chefs have tried to get some traditional healthy vegetables and off-beat combinations to the list.

“My son never eats bottle gourd at home, but he liked Lauki Ke Kabab very much,” says Tanvi Sharma, a resident of Zirakpur.

“The food is just like a home and healthy as its name postik,” says MK Aggarwal, a resident of Sector 5, Panchkula who visited with his family. The dishes are quite reasonable. This is the perfect place for a meal if you are looking for both exquisite and healthy food.
