Movie: Great Grand Masti
You can run, you can hide, but you can’t escape the crude humour of the Masti franchise! Jokes apart, kudos to the cast and crew, which has been putting in collective efforts to make the adult comedy win favour with the audience without fail over all these years. Three not-so-impressive attempts Masti (2003), Great Masti in 2014, and now the third installment of the not-so-grand Masti series would easily qualify as classic examples of a script (which essentially remains the same) gone from bad to worse! Don’t forget to grab your popcorn; it might just be the only thing you are going to enjoy amidst all the cringing.
Director: Indra Kumar
Cast: Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani and Urvashi Rautela
Audience take
Getting worse
I found the movie very clichéd. Each time, the script remains more or less the same. The first installment of the film was much better.
- Mayank Gupta, student, St. Kabir Public School
Waste of time
It is an utter waste of time. I seriously regret watching the film. The supernatural twist is not good enough either.
- Raj Malhotra, businessman
Bad taste
Jokes made in the film are all in bad taste. I did not particularly like a scene where they liken an old lady to a piece of stale bread.
- Kritika, employee with a private firm
Kiss your ice goodbye
Movie: Ice Age: Collision Course
Love it for the adorable animations or hate it for the done to death story, one just cannot reach a conclusion. But say whatever, the Ice Age series enjoys its set audience, which is more than glad to embrace the latest offering (read Ice Age: Collision Course) of the saga with open arms.
Director: Mike Thurmeier
Cast/ voice overs: Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, Denis Leary, Queen Latifah, Jennifer Lopez and Simon Pegg
Audience take
Giggling glory
I love Sid, the sloth from the film. The movie made me giggle.
- Aastha Dhiman, student, KB DAV school
For the kids
It makes for a nice light-hearted flick to watch with kids.
- Nikita Sharma, homemaker
No more, please
I think the filmmakers should invest their energy in bringing a new concept to the audience. The Ice Age characters have already changed drastically, anyway.
- Rahul Garg, NRI
(As told to Manika Ahuja)
