Amolak Singh of Panipat has been elected as the state president and Balbir Singh of Ambala as the state vice-president of the All-India Ramgarhiya Vishwakarma Federation.
The elections were held under the supervision of Gurminder Singh Mataharu, national president, AIRVF, and member of the Shiromani GurudwaraParbandhak Committee (SGPC), here today.
Matharu said the 300th birth anniversary of Maharaja Jassa Singh would be celebrated at Singhpura in Barnala. A committee had been constituted to celebrate the birth anniversary, he added.
Matharu said the Miri Piri Medical College at Shahbad Markanda would start functioning soon. Norms and rules changed by the state government were the main reasons behind the delay in starting the medical college, he added.
Jagjeet Singh Kala, former state president, Harbans Singh Karnal, Jasbeer Singh of Yamunanagar and Trilok Singh of Sonepat were among others present during the elections.
