Karnal boy is youngest ‘Melbourne Beatboxer’
Karnal, September 7
A 14-year-old Karnal-origin boy Satvik Sharma has become the youngest Melbourne Beatboxer by winning ‘Melbourne Beatboxing Royal, which was held in Melbourne recently.
Romesh Sharma, Satvik’s grandfather, said it was a proud moment for them as well as for the residents of Karnal, Haryana and the country. “Satvik started imitating the sounds of the drum machine around five years ago,” said Sharma.
“My son Vikas and daughter-in-law Kanchan gave full support to my grandson,” said Sharma. He added Satvik had represented Australia at ‘Swiss Beatbox’ at the age of 12. He had also performed in two multi-cultural festivals.—TNS
