Superintendent of Police Astha Modi said, “The CIA-1 team got a tip-off that two men had been making rounds between Ambedkar Chowk and railway station, and they may be carrying suspicious material. Both men were stopped and during checking, while Rs 6 lakh were recovered from a bag, Rs 7 lakh each were recovered from their jackets.” The currency notes were in the denominations of Rs 2,000 and Rs 500.
