Karnal, November 21
Three members of a family were killed as the ill-fated motorcycle they were riding was hit by a car near Garhibirbal village on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Naresh Kumar (40), his wife Meena Rani (37) and their son Mainpal (12), residents of Tigra village in Yamunanagar district.
Pooja, daughter of the couple, received injuries. The family was going to Gheer village to attend a marriage when the accident took place.
Meena and her son Mainpal died on the spot, while Naresh died in hospital. Pooja is undergoing treatment in the PGI. The police registered a case against the unidentified car driver under Sections 279, 334 and 304-A of the IPC. — TNS
