Mandi, April 7
An avalanche damaged two houses and a panchayat bhawan in tribal district of Lahaul-Spiti on Saturday.
According to locals, an avalanche at Koksar damaged panchayat bhawan building badly. Another avalanche damaged two houses at Tindi panchayat.
SDM Udaipur Subhash Gautam said no loss of life was reported in the incident. He said a team of revenue officials have been sent to Tindi panchayat to assess the loss. He said it would take some time to collect the report due to the tough terrain and roadblock in the region because of snow.
He said the affected families would be provided adequate relief as per the relief manual. — TNS
