Haroli BJP protests alleged ‘mafia rule’

UNA: Haroli BJP today staged a protest against the alleged corruption and “mafia rule” in Haroli segment. Led by block party leader Ram Kumar, the activists demanded resignation of Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and also submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the SDM.

Haroli BJP today staged a protest against the alleged corruption and “mafia rule” in Haroli segment. Led by block party leader Ram Kumar, the activists demanded resignation of Industries Minister Mukesh Agnihotri and also submitted a memorandum to the Governor through the SDM.

Ram Kumar charged that the last four-and-a-half years had seen unprecedented rise in corruption and mafia rule in Haroli. He said allegations of political patronage to the mafia were proved after the arrest of an Industries Department officer by the CBI. He said as reported in various sections of the media, the revelations by accused Tilak Raj Sharma need to be probed. The BJP leader said in view of the light of allegations, Industries Minister should resign immediately. He said the memorandum submitted to the Governor seeks to dissolve the Congress government in the state to put an end to corruption. — OC
