Shimla, June 29
The Shimla passport office has been included in the list of the selected passports offices, providing excellent services and high overall performance.
The office had got this recognition for registering 74 per cent increase in overall performance for 2016-17. The award was given to Passport Officer Praveen Mohan Sahay.
The recognition comes in the wake of excellent services, including reduction in overall time required for completion of formalities from 108 minutes in 2014 to 22 minutes (2017). The Shimla office has also earned the distinction in providing a passport within a day after the police verification is received.
