Dhar road witnesses huge traffic jam daily

A huge traffic jam was witnessed on the Dhar road in the district here today. Schoolchildren and office employee faced lots of problems.

Sources said with normalcy returning to the Valley, the state had been witnessing huge number of transport trucks coming from Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, UP, Bihar, etc, which plied through the Dhar road. The road often saw a huge traffic jam from Sattani to Miyan Bagh, a stretch of nearly 2.5 km.

“A huge traffic jam can be seen on the Dhar road from the Sattani to Miyan Bagh stretch, which remains for near about five hours together creating inconvenience to the general public and the traffic police act as mute spectators. After 7.30 am, there is huge traffic jam and it takes two hours to cover a distance 2.5 km,” said locals.
