KK Sharma is VP of coop bank federation

KK Sharma, chairman, The Citizens Urban Cooperative Bank Limited, Jalandhar, has been elected as vice-president of the National Federation of Urban Cooperative Banks and Credit Societies (NAFCUB), New Delhi.
Election for the new board of directors was conducted at the National Cooperative Union of India, headquarters in New Delhi. NAFCUB is an apex institute of urban cooperative banks and cooperative credit societies. It was established in 1990 and this is the first time since then that the vice president has been elected from Punjab.
NAFCUB is representing around 1,600 urban cooperative banks and over 50,000 cooperative credit societies functioning across the country. Its board comprises 21 directors of which nine belong to the state federation, seven to cooperative banks, two to cooperative credit societies, one to Mahila Bank and one each from the Central Government and the National Cooperative Union of India. — TNS
