It is a proud moment for Punjab Technical University as its four representatives will be taking part in the G200 Youth Forum 2015, which will be held from April 29 April to May 3 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.

The G200 Youth Forum 2015 is organised annually by the Swiss-based G8 and G20 Alumni Association. The forum will become one of the largest international events held for the youth in 2015. About 500 young leaders from around 200 countries, Members of Parliaments and young parliamentarians, students and academics, and representatives of the business world, governments, and international organisations will participate in the event

Students Gurlal Singh Sidhu, Sandeep Singh Sran, both from Shaheed Udham Singh Institute of Engineering and Technology, Tangori; Bhagwant Singh Brar, faculty from Universal Group of Institutions, Lalru, and programme coordinator NSS Dr Jagmeet Bawa from PTU main campus will attend the conference, which is one of the four forum platforms. They will join the Law and Human Rights Round Table and Economics and Finance Round Table and deliver presentations on the topics of their interest. Their articles will be further published in the G200 Youth Forum Conference Proceedings.

The G8 and G20 Alumni Association Executive Committee, which organises the forum, chose these candidates among other applicants due to outstanding results in their studies and experience as young leaders.

On this achievement PTU Vice-Chancellor and Secretary Technical Education Rakesh Verma said, “The participation in the forum will give them a unique experience of international cooperation, opportunity to learn from other participants and the chance to share best practices and innovative ideas.”
