Workshop on robotic surgery

Jalandhar: The sixth edition of The Head and Neck Forum and a live robotic surgical workshop was organised by the Patel Hospital head and neck multidisciplinary team. Head and neck robotic surgery has allowed more complex surgical procedures to be performed in a simple way. It has several advantages over standard open surgical approaches, including rapid recovery, lesser hospital stay, lower post-operative pain and avoidance of skin incisions. The surgery has extensive applications in Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and neck dissections. Dr Yoon Woo Koh, international faculty from Korea will perform live robotic surgery. TNS
