National lok adalat: 3,254 cases settled

The national lok adalat passed awards above Rs37 crore and settled 3,254 cases out of 12,180 under the supervision of Sessions Judge-cum-chairman District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Gurbir Singh.
The Sessions Judge with CJM-cum-secretary DLSA Dr Gurpeet Kaur, DBA president Parupkar Singh Ghumman inspected the work of different benches of lok adalats.
He interacted with litigants encouraging them for amicable settlement of their disputes for peace and harmony in society. He said it would relieve them from mental tension, which was the major problem faced by people these days.
Additional Sessions Judges Arun Vir Vashisht, ADJ Arun Kumar Aggarwal, ADJ Sonia Kinra, Civil Judge(Sr Division) Vikrant Kumar, Judicial Magistrate Bhupinder Mittal, JMIC Preeti Sukhija, JMIC Rajinder Singh Teji, JMIC Vishav Gupta, JMIC Ekta, JMIC Indu Bala headed different benches of the lok adalat in the city.
