“Pulwama is something we cannot & will not forget,” said actor Akshay Kumar. B-town celebs are coming forward to help the families of the fallen servicemen. After, Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay has decided to donate Rs. 5 crores.
The 51-year-old actor will donate Rs. 5 crore through ‘Bharat Ke Veer’—a fundraising initiative of the Union Ministry of Home Affairs.
Akshay has been insisting his followers on Twitter to help the grieving families.
He tweeted: “#Pulwama is something we cannot & will not forget. We’re all angry & it’s time to act. Big B had announced that he will be donating Rs 5 lakh each to the families of 40 CRPF personnel who were martyred in the Pulwama terror attack.
Also, Former cricketer Virender Sehwag has pledged to take care of the education of the children of the soldiers who lost their lives in the recent attack.
He tweeted: “Nothing we can do will be enough, but the least I can do is offer to take complete care of the education of the children of our brave CRPF jawans martyred in #Pulwama in my Sehwag International School @SehwagSchool, Jhajjar. Saubhagya hoga”.

In the worst-ever terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir since militancy erupted in 1989, a Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber on Thursday rammed his vehicle packed with explosives into a Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) bus on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Pulwama district, killing at least 40 troopers on the spot.
