Singer Sukhwinder Singh on Thursday paid homage to the 21 soldiers who faught in the Battle of Saragarhi. 
 
Singh posted a few pictures on Instagram captioned: “2 September 1897 | The Day of Battle of Saragarhi(सारागढ़ी) | With great honour I would like to give my regards and respect to remember the 21 Bravest Sikh soldiers who fought against 10000 Afghans. Jai hind!”
 
The Battle of Saragarhi was fought before the Tirah Campaign of September 1897 between the British Indian Empire and Afghan tribesmen. It took place in the North-West Frontier Province (now Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan).
