Saanvi Nautiyal of BCM Arya Model Senior Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, stole the limelight by clinching three titles in the Sub-Junior Ludhiana District Badminton Tournament, which concluded at Shastri Hall, near Guru Nanak Stadium, here today.
As many as 400 shuttlers (boys and girls) participated in the four-day tournament, organised by the District Badminton Association, Ludhiana.
Saanvi, a student of Class IV, bagged top honours in the girl’s singles (U-11), girls’ doubles (U-11) and girls’ doubles (U-13) categories to stamp her authority.
Besides, Arunima Pal and Jasraj Singh were also at the centre of attraction as they won two titles each.
Jasraj annexed titles in the boys’ singles as well as doubles (U-11). Arunima Pal proved too good for her opponents to notch up titles in the girls’ singles (U-13) and in the U-15 groups.

Girls’ singles (U-11): Saanvi Nautiyal beat Vasvi 21-17, 16-21 and 21-14. Boys’ singles (U-11): Jasraj Singh beat Ashmit Dhir 21-9, 21-13.
Girls’ doubles (U-11): Anupama and Saanvi beat Ramandeep Kaur and Vaasvi 21-18, 21-12. Boys’ doubles (U-11): Jasraj Singh and Naman Jain beat Devansh Rana and Ashmit Dhir 21-17, 21-17.
Girls’ singles (U-13): Arunima Pal beat Sneha Bhandari 21-8, 8-1 (conceded). Boys’ singles (U-13): Lakshay Sharma beat Akshat Maithani 21-5, 21-8.
Girls’ doubles (U-13): Sneha Bhandari and Saanvi Nautiyal beat Arunima Pal and Ishmeet Kaur 21-18, 23-25 and 21-17. Boys’ doubles (U-13): Keshav and Akshit beat Varinderjit Singh and Harjas Singh 21-7, 21-16.
Girls’ singles (U-15): Arunima Pal beat Surinder Kaur 21-19, 18-21 and 21-14. Boys’ singles (U-15): Arnam Jain beat Lakshay Sharma 12-21, 21-11 and 21-14.
Girls’ doubles (U-15): Sant Kaur and Surinder Kaur beat Akansha and Samridhi Bhardwaj 21-16, 21-16. Boys’ doubles (U-15): Chirag Sharma and Rajveer Khurana beat Lakshay Sharma and Arnam Jain 11-21, 25-23 and 21-17.
