Holiday homework exhibition

Ludhiana: Police DAV Public School showcased 'summer holiday homework exhibition'. Students were assigned different curriculum-based activities which enhanced the in depth learning of the subjects. There was an exceptional display of 'figure - me - out' activity, through which the students of primary wing were made to understand the basic mathematical operations - addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The students of middle wing showcased their written presentations depicting the importance of yoga postures.

Students display models 

The annual exhibition,  'creative minds', was organised at Planet E School in which students showed their models of every subject. The aim of the exhibition was to explore the inner creativity of students. Working models of English, Hindi, mathematics, Punjabi, science, social science, art and craft, rangoli, mehandi, accountancy, economics, business studies, physical education, physics, biology, chemistry were the special attraction for one and all.

Poetry-recitation competition

Green land Convent School, New Subhash Nagar, organised an inter- house poetry-recitation competition for the classes I to V. The purpose of the competition was to explore the hidden talent of the juveniles of the primary wing beyond the books. Four students from each house participated in two categories for the competition. The students were judged on the basis of voice skills, presentation, dramatic appropriateness, pronunciation and rhythm.

Tiffin-making competition 

To promote healthy lifestyle, a nutritious 'tiffin- making 'c ompetition was held at DCM Presidency School Elementary campus for the parents and students of class preparatory II. Mothers and kids together packed lunch boxes made of sprouts, oats and fruits.

Hindi declamation contest 

An inter-house Hindi declamation was held at Shamrock Christian School, Hambran Road. The declamation was held for the senior classes. Each house comprised six students. The declamation provided an avenue for expressing thoughts and harnessing critical thinking abilities. The children chose the topic among the variety of topics such as politics, social issues, education andpopulation explosion 

Poster-making competition

BCM School, Dugri, hosted a poster-making competition. As many as   33 CBSE schools of the city participated in the event. The competition was divided into two categories - Category A- comprising classes IX and X and Category B-comprising Classes XI and XII. Jennifer Singh of Scared Heart Convent School, BRS Nagar, won the first position in individual category A. Isha Jaiswal DAV Public School, Pakhowal Road won the first prize in the category B. Overall I position was won by DAV School, Pakhowal Road. DCM Presidency and BVM Udham Singh Nagar secured II and III positions respectively. TNS
