Ludhiana, July 16

With smiles on their faces and sparkles in their eyes, as many as 200 babies born through IVF technique from across the country walked the ramp during a baby show organised by Sofat Hospital today.

Ludhiana Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu, who was the chief guest, eulogised the effort and hailed new technological advances that helped childless couples in embracing joy of parenthood.

Ludhiana Civil Surgeon Dr Rajesh Kumar Bagga said, “It’s indeed a fulfilling experience to see precious smiles.”

Dr Sofat said, “I vividly remember their faces when they had first visited me with sordid tales of mental trauma.” She said the main objective was to give a message to people that couples who were infertile should not lose hope. — TNS
