LUDHIANA: Players of the Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA) came out triumphant in the men’s section, but lost in the women’s category in the semi-final league on the penultimate day of the 69th Senior Punjab State Basketball Championship at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Sunday.

Ludhiana, November 18

Players of the Ludhiana Basketball Academy (LBA) came out triumphant in the men’s section, but lost in the women’s category in the semi-final league on the penultimate day of the 69th Senior Punjab State Basketball Championship at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Sunday.

In the men’s section, the LBA overpowered Fardikot district 89-72. Jagdeep Singh played the pivot role in the academy’s win, securing 23 points.However, in the women’s group, the LBA went down fighting against their experienced opponents from Punjab Police 58-73. The architect of the Punjab Police outfit’s win was Harminder Kaur who scored 30 points.
