Ludhiana U-23 cricket team selected for state meet

LUDHIANA: A 16-member Ludhiana (U-23) cricket team has been selected from 25 probables by the Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA), an affiliated body of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA).

A 16-member Ludhiana (U-23) cricket team has been selected from 25 probables by the Ludhiana District Cricket Association (LDCA), an affiliated body of the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA).

The cricketers will represent the Ludhiana district in the Punjab Inter-District Cricket Tournament to be organised by the PCA at different venues across the state from June 18 onwards.

Ludhiana, in its first match, scheduled to be played on June 18 and 19 here at GRD Academy on Hambran Road, will take on Chandigarh.

The list of selected players released by Vinod Chitkara, honorary general secretary, LDCA, includes Deepin Chitkara, Nehal Wadhera, Gurjot Singh, Vaibhav Kalra, Jaish Jain, Rahul Khanna, Rithik Singh, Gurshinder Singh, Abhimanyu, Gobindjot, Jaskaranvir Singh, Sarabjit Singh, Rajvir Dhami, Manjot Singh, Rajiv Khosla and Gunraj Sehgal.

Former international cricketer and IPL player, Gagandeep Singh Toor has been appointed the coach of the team.
